The Global Playground
This year I was commissioned by Manchester International Festival & Theatre-Rites to compose for my first theatrical production. It’s an uplifting new show mixing dance, music, theatre and puppetry for all the family. We started the creative process in November 2020, had an intense 10 day research and development phase over Zoom in January and then spent six weeks (May to June) forming a creative bubble right in the city centre of Manchester to bring our creative baby to life. The show is called ‘The Global Playground’ and I got to work with the most remarkable creative team! (Pictured is Jahmarley – one of the amazing dancers involved in the project).
